DOLE RO I Regional Director Nathaniel V. Lacambra said the OSSCOs located at Candon City Hall and at Manna Mall in San Fernando, La Union provided easy access to OFWs and other clients in availing the frontline services of the government.
“We are happy to report that the One-Stop Service Centers in Ilocos Region have already served 30,000 clients. We will continue to ensure timely delivery of various services from the DOLE, OWWA, POEA, TESDA, PRC, and other allied agencies to our clients, especially to our OFWs,” Lacambra said.
He also said the establishment of one-stop service centers in Ilocos Region is one of DOLE’s responses to President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s directive to make it easier for OFWs to avail government services by shortening the processing time of their documents and reducing their transportation expenses.
Some of the government agencies that provide fast and reliable services in OSSCO include Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Professional Regulations Commission (PRC), Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
The one-stop service center clients commended the OSCCO staff for their efficient service, and thanked DOLE for ensuring easy access to government services.
“I commend the fast processing of transactions by the service center. There’s no longer a need for us to go to OWWA La Union just to pay our membership contribution,” said Agustin Alibuyog, Jr.,
The OSSCO is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays.
