DOLE RO 10-Buk PFO Head Raul L. Valmores said the 10 employees, led by Mr. Rinhold S. Mangubat, sought the assistance of DOLE-Buk PFO on January 24, 2017, due to their employer’s non-payment of 13th month pay and underpayment of wages.
On February 1, 2017, during the first hearing of the RFA, the workers and the company in Don Carlos, Bukidnon negotiated for the settlement of the monetary claims.
The employees expressed their gratitude to the DOLE RO 10-Buk PFO for its prompt and efficient facilitation of their complaint.
“We are very thankful to the DOLE because we received our money claims, which we have been longing and waiting for quite a time. We are thankful also to our employer because they have given what is due us,” employees said.
