Behind every success, there unfolds a story that shows that success does not come by chance, but it is a product of hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, passion for what you are doing and eagerness to learn.
To Roque Emmanuel “Emman” Ladao – Catibog, even life may seem so difficult, there are still hundreds of reasons to succeed.
Year 2011, at the age of 16, he became a Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) beneficiary and instead of bumming around during summer vacation, he seized the opportunity to earn money for the upcoming school year.
He started at the Local Government Unit of Mamburao in Occidental Mindoro as office clerk and was assigned at various departments of the LGU of San Jose in the same region in 2012 to 2015. He also worked as a student aide at the Divine Word College of San Jose in 2016.
For six consecutive years, SPES has offered him the opportunity to grow and develop his sense of responsibility. It further instilled in him good values and even prepared him for real world of work.
Graduating with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Emman, a consistent dean’s lister, proved that though BSA is a challenging course, he was able to reap the fruits of all his efforts and sacrifices.
Finally, all his hardships have paid off as he joined the roster of Certified Public Accountants during the announcement of the Professionals Regulations Commission (PRC) in the October 2016 CPA Board Exam Result.
