The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is all set to conduct an orientation/coaching for newly designated Document Control Officers (DCOs) in the Central Office and its attached agency this month.
The DCOs are the action officers responsible for the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) documents and Records Control Procedures, which form part of the mandatory processes required under ISO 9001:2008, to which the DOLE-CO has been certified since 2015.
The orientation/coaching aims to enhance appreciation and understanding of DCOs on their responsibilities which are essential for the proper and effective control of the DOLE’s QMS documents and records. These serve as evidences of the system’s conformity to requirements and of its effective performance.
Newly designated DCOs of the DOLE’s Information and Publication Service and Bureau of Working Conditions are the target participants of the said activity which will be facilitated by the Central Document Control Officer from DOLE’s Financial and Management Service.
