Over 70k jobs up for grabs on Labor Day
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) invites job seekers across the country as it rolls out thousands of job opportunities during the 121st observance of Labor Day on May 1.
An initial 73,779 job vacancies are up for grabs in the face-to-face job fairs to be participated in by 808 employers in 42 job fair sites nationwide.
Among the top industries are BPO, manufacturing, financial and insurance activities, manpower services, and sales and marketing.
The top vacancies are for customer service representatives, production workers/operators, financial consultants, service crew, and sales agents or sales clerks.
The number of vacancies is expected to increase in the succeeding days, the DOLE said.
The main job fair site is at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City, where over 12,000 jobs will be offered by 125 employers on April 30.

Post-Labor Day job fairs will also take place at People’s Center, Balanga City, Bataan and Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium, Malolos City, Bulacan on May 3; and at the 3rd Level Alabang Public Market on May 5.
The labor department encourages jobseekers to be ready with the following application requirements: resume or curriculum vitae, certificate of employment for those formerly employed, diploma, and transcript of records.

Inaanyayahan ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) ang mga naghahanap ng trabaho sa buong bansa para sa libu-libong mga oportunidad sa trabaho sa gaganaping pagdiriwang ng ika-121 taon ng Araw ng Paggawa sa Mayo 1.
May paunang 73,779 bakanteng trabaho ang nakahanda sa face-to-face job fairs na lalahukan ng 808 employer sa 42 job fair sites sa buong bansa.
Kabilang sa mga nangungunang industriya ay ang BPO, manufacturing, financial and insurance activities, manpower services, at sales and marketing.
Ang mga pangunahing bakanteng trabaho ay para sa customer service representative, production worker/operator, financial consultant, service crew, at sales agent o sales clerk.
Inaasahang tataas pa ang bilang ng mga bakanteng trabaho sa mga susunod na araw, pahayag ng DOLE.
