‘Kadiwa’ brings affordable products to workers on Labor Day

As a gift to Filipino workers, the Department of Labor and Employment has put up 27 Kadiwa ng Pangulo para sa Manggagawa outlets in celebration of Labor Day.

Kadiwa enables the farming community to sell goods directly to consumers without the trader-intermediaries, allowing them to reap higher profits while still offering quality products at an affordable price to consumers.

Filipino workers can buy products from the 606 enterprises and 1,223 sellers in the following Kadiwa sites nationwide:

NCR – SMX Convention Center, Pasay City (April 30)

CAR – Ibaloi Heritage Garden, Burnham Park, Baguio City (April 27-30); Baguio Convention Center (May 1)

Region 1 – Farmer’s Livelihood Development Center, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur (May 1); CSI Atrium, Lucao, Dagupan City, Pangasinan (May 1)

Some of the available products in the Kadiwa are vegetables; fruits, like bananas, mangoes, and pineapples; rice; fresh, dried, and smoked fish; processed Bangus products; meat products; eggs; sugar; and dairy products.

Other items offered in the Kadiwa outlets are Ilocos delicacies; cacao products; banana chips; siomai; longganisa; vinegar; crab paste; pickled vegetables; processed garlic; chili flakes; noodles; and bagoong.

The Kadiwa ng Pangulo is a partnership among the Office of the President, Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and different local government units. Abot-kayang produkto mula sa ‘Kadiwa’ para sa manggagawa sa Araw ng Paggawa

Bilang handog sa mga Pilipinong manggagawa, magtatayo ang Department of Labor and Employment ng 27 Kadiwa ng Pangulo para sa Manggagawa outlet sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng Paggawa.

Ang Kadiwa ang nagiging daan upang direktang maibenta ng mga magsasaka ang kanilang mga produkto sa mga mamimili ng walang tagapamagitan.  Ito ang nagbibigay-daan upang kumita ng mas malaking tubo mula sa mga de-kalidad at abot-kayang presyo ng produkto na kanilang iniaalok sa mga mamimili.

Makakabili ang mga Pilipinong manggagawa ng mga produkto mula sa 606 negosyo at 1,223 tindero sa mga sumusunod na Kadiwa site sa buong bansa:
