DOLE to help workers market their products online
The labor department is offering marketing assistance to informal sector workers through an online platform to enable them and micro-entrepreneurs to sell and promote their products in the internet.
Called DOLE Livelihood Beneficiaries Products Showcase (DLBPS), the free online market platform developed and managed by the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC), aims to enhance the selling and marketing capabilities of the beneficiaries of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).
In order to help improve their products and services, a product review is also featured in the online platform where buyers or customers can provide feedback or rate the marketed products.
Labor Undersecretary Ana Dione, representing Secretary Silvestre Bello III; Undersecretary Ciriaco Lagunzad III; Assistant Secretary Benjo Santos Benavidez; BWSC Director Ma. Karina Perida-Trayvilla; and other officials joined stakeholders and various informal sector and livelihood groups, such as construction workers, kasambahay associations, micro-entrepreneurs, and tricycle drivers groups during the launching of the online platform.
“We recognize the unique contribution of workers in the informal sector in the country. We want to improve their status of living, strengthen their enterprises and livelihood, as well as to protect their rights as workers,” Bello said in his message read by Dione.
Benavidez said the ultimate agenda of the labor department is to transition the informal workers into the formal economy. He added this is the reason why the department has envisioned the online marketing platform to help the livelihood beneficiaries in selling their products.
“We want you to have a sustainable livelihood. This is one of the tools we have developed to help you sell your products,” Benavidez told the workers.
The online platform was unveiled as one of the highlights of the celebration of labor day for informal workers with the theme “Tungo sa Matatag at Masaganang Pagnenegosyo,” held at the Paranaque City Hall, Paranaque City on May 6.
BWSC also invited two entrepreneurs who were awarded livelihood benefits to share their success stories with their fellow workers.
BWSC is further improving the platform to contain all relevant information and data about the livelihood beneficiaries and their products. #Paul Ang

May alok na marketing assistance ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) sa mga manggagawa sa impormal na sektor sa pamamagitan ng isang online platform upang tulungan sila at ang mga micro-entrepreneur na ibenta at ma-promote ang kanilang mga produkto sa internet.
Tinatawag na DOLE Livelihood Beneficiaries Products Showcase (DLBPS) ang libreng online market platform na ginawa at pinamamahalaan ng Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC), at naglalayong linangin ang kapasidad sa pagbebenta ng mga benepisyaryo ng DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).
Upang mas matulungan sila sa paglinang ng kanilang mga produkto at serbisyo, mayroon ding product review sa online platform kung saan maaaring magbigay ng kanilang feedback o rate ang mga buyer o customer sa mga naibentang produkto.
Dumalo sa pagpapasinaya ng online platform sina Labor Undersecretary Ana Dione, na kinatawan si Secretary Silvestre Bello III; Undersecretary Ciriaco Lagunzad III; Assistant Secretary Benjo Santos Benavidez; BWSC Director Ma. Karina Perida-Trayvilla; mga stakeholder at iba’t ibang informal sector at livelihood groups, tulad ng mga construction workers, asosasyon ng mga kasambahay, micro-entrepreneurs, at mga grupo ng mga tricycle driver.
“Kinikilala namin ang natatanging kontribusyon ng mga manggagawa sa impormal na sektor sa bansa. Nais naming iangat ang estado ng kanilang pamumuhay, palakasin ang kanilang mga negosyo, at protektahan ang kanilang mga karapatan bilang mga manggagawa,” wika ni Bello sa kanyang mensahe na binasa ni Dione.
Ayon kay Benavidez, pangunahing layunin ng kagawaran ay ang transisyon ng mga informal worker patungo sa pormal na ekonomiya. Dagdag pa niya, ito ang dahilan kung bakit naisipan ng DOLE na ilunsad ang online marketing platform upang tulungan ang mga benepisyaryo sa pagbebenta ng kanilang mga produkto.
“Nais namin na magkaroon kayo ng matatag na hanapbuhay. Isa lamang ito sa mga pamamaraan na aming naisip upang mas maibenta ninyo ang inyong mga produkto,” sinabi pa ni Benavidez sa mga manggagawa.
Pinasinayaan ang online platform bilang isa sa mga aktibidad kasabay ng selebrasyon ng labor day para sa mga informal worker na may temang “Tungo sa Matatag at Masaganang Pagnenegosyo,” na ginanap sa Paranaque City Hall, Paranaque City noong Mayo 6.
Inimbitahan rin ng BWSC ang dalawang entrepreneur na nabigyan ng benepisyo sa livelihood upang magbahagi ng kanilang kuwento ng tagumpay sa mga kapwa nila mga manggagawa.
Patuloy namang nililinang ng BWSC ang platform upang maglaman ng mga kinakailangang impormasyon ng mga benepisyaryo at kanilang mga produkto.
