DOLE takes part in CSC’s R.A.C.E. to Serve Fun Run IV
Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz yesterday announced that the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will actively participate, along with its regional offices, bureaus, and attached agencies, in the R.A.C.E. to Serve Fun of the Civil Service Commission, to be held in celebration of the 114th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service.
“This is the fourth edition of the R.A.C.E. to Serve Fun Run and also the fourth time that we at the DOLE will join the leisure sports activity,” said Baldoz.
To be held on the theme, Tapat na Serbisyo Alay Ko, Dahil Lingkod Bayani Ako, the Fun Run envisions quality public service through the promotion of physical wellness and the celebration of heroism.
“It upholds the government employee’s journey as servant heroes or lingkod-bayani,” Baldoz said, as she urged fun run enthusiasts from the DOLE to enlist for the activity.
The celebration is a month-long event, to be highlighted by a communications campaign, Honor Awards Program Rites for the 2014 Presidential Lingkod Bayan, Dangal ng Bayan, and CSC Pagasa Awardees, Government Choral Competition, and other special programs for participating government employees.
The R.A.C.E. to Serve Fun Run IV will be on 6 September at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. The categories are Men’s and Women’s 3K, 5K, and 10K distances. Registration period is from 28 April to 31 July at the CSC-NCR Regional Office or any CSC field office. The registration fee is P150 for all participants.
