Deployment of Pinoy teachers in Thailand soon

 

More Filipino English teachers will soon have the opportunity of working in Thailand with the advance of bilateral talks between the labor department and the Thai Ministry of Employment.

 

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III on Friday said an agreement governing the deployment of English teachers may be signed in the coming weeks to meet Thailand’s requirement under its “English for All” Project in the area of Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).

 

“Filipino teachers are the preferred nationals needed by the government of Thailand because of the excellent English proficiency and competence of our teachers,” Bello said.

 

Under the proposed agreement, Filipino teachers will be hired by the Thailand’s Ministry of Education to teach students in primary and secondary levels in government schools.

 

The labor chief also disclosed that Filipino teachers who will be hired under the program will receive 25,000 baht per month or P45,000, inclusive of housing allowance. The other benefits include personal accident insurance and round trip airfare and work permit fees which will be shouldered by the government of Thailand.

 

Aside from English teachers, Thailand is also opening job opportunities to foreign professionals in the field of engineering, architecture, medicine, accounting and dental medicine.

 

To date, there are 16,704 overseas Filipino workers in Thailand, of which 11,848 are professionals, mostly composed of teachers, musicians and other professional expats working in multinational companies. ###Abegail De Vega

Pinoy teacher malapit nang ma-deploy sa Thailand

 

Mas maraming Filipino English teacher ang malapit nang magkaroon ng oportunidad na makapagtrabaho sa Thailand sa ginanap na pag-uusap sa pagitan ng labor department at ng Thailand Ministry of Employment.

 

Sinabi ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III na ang kasunduan para sa pagdedeploy ng English teacher ay inaasahang malalagdaan sa mga darating na linggo upang matugunan ang pangangailangan ng Thailand sa ilalim ng “English for All” Project  sa Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).

 

“Ang mga Filipino teacher ang napiling nasyonal ng pamahalaan ng Thailand dahil sa husay at galing ng ating mga guro sa pagtuturo ng English,” ani Bello.

 

Sa ilalim ng mungkahing kasunduan, ang mga Filipino teacher ay magtatrabaho sa Ministry of Education ng Thailand upang magturo sa mga estudyante na nasa primary at secondary level sa pampublikong paaralan.

 

Sinabi rin ng Kalihim na ang mga Filipino teacher na magtatrabaho sa ilalim ng nasabing programa ay makatatanggap ng 25,000 baht kada buwan o P45,000, kasama na dito ang housing allowance. Kabilang sa iba pang benepisyo ang personal accident insurance at round trip airfare at work permit fee na sasagutin ng pamahalaan ng Thailand.

 

Maliban sa mga English teacher, bubuksan din ng Thailand ang iba pang oportunidad sa trabaho sa mga foreign professionals para sa engineering, architecture, medicine, accounting at dental medicine.
