Baldoz salutes tripartite partners for successful Labor Day job fairs

Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz yesterday expressed gratitude to the DOLE’s social partners–labor, employers, and government–for their unequivocal solidarity and support that ensured the success of the DOLE’s 69 Labor Day job fairs all over the country.

“The employment facilitation-focused Labor Day celebration would not have been a tremendous success if not for the strong and unequivocal support of the labor organizations and our partner agencies in government and the private sector, as well as the employers who had all came out to celebrate Labor Day by paying tribute to our workers,” said Baldoz.

The nationwide observance of the 2014 Labor Day had for a theme, Sa Sipag, Tiyaga, at Talino, Buong Mundo Saludo sa Manggagawang Pilipino.

Baldoz specifically mentioned the following social partners who supported the 2014 Labor Day celebration: Bureau of Internal Revenue; National Bureau of Investigation; Professional Regulation Commission; Philippine Health Insurance Corporation; National Statistics Office; Social Security System; Pag-Ibig Fund; Overseas Workers Welfare Administration; Philippine Overseas Employment Administration; National Center for the Reintegration of OFWs; Technical Education and Skills Development Authority; Light Rail Transit Authority; Philippine Information Agency; Philippine News Agency; Department of Public Works and Highways; Metro Manila Development Authority;

“I am also very thankful to all employers who joined the job fairs. I cannot mention all of them by name, but by making their job vacancies available to our job seekers, they have already rendered invaluable contribution to the employment of our teeming jobless,” said Baldoz.
