About 3,000 local and overseas employment opportunities are available to jobseekers in a job fair on July 21 at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Transformation Oval, Camp Crame, Quezon City, the labor department reported.
The job fair was organized in celebration of the 23rd Police Community Relations Month, with the theme, “Tapat na Serbisyo at Paglilingkod ng Kapulisan Kaagapay ang Mamamayan, Hatid ay Kaunlaran.”
In a report from the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE), there will be a total of 15 participating employers (12 local and 3 overseas) which will be bringing with them 2,500 local and 350 overseas vacancies.
The top 10 job vacancies are for the positions of office staff/ data encoder, IT specialist/ computer technician, skilled workers, engineers, sales clerk/ bagger/ stock clerk, janitor/ janitress, production worker/ factory worker, pump attendant, promodiser/ merchandiser, and service crew/ cashier.
There will also be membership registration services from PhilHealth, Social Security System (SSS), and Pag-Ibig, as well as training registration services from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III reminded applicants to bring application requirements such as resume or curriculum vitae (bring extra copies for multiple job applications); 2 x 2 ID pictures; certificate of employment for those formerly employed; diploma and/or transcript of records; and authenticated birth certificate.
